TECH DOWNGRADED: The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) has downgraded Tech to “red”. Their algorithm for determining the rating isn’t clear, but on the list of problematic speech codes, this seems like a good candidate for a particularly chilling policy:
SafeWatch encourages a welcoming community with regard to age, color, disability, gender, national origin, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, and veteran status. Incidents that create a hostile, unsafe, unwelcome, or insecure environment should be reported to SafeWatch.
